The game publicly launched around Update 24, which is when most of the original wiki guides were written. The roster has expanded significantly since then, adding everything from Showa-era kaiju to Monsterverse titans to endgame content that requires weeks of Cell grinding. This page documents what changed at each major step.

Update 46 — September 2026
The most recent documented patch. New roster additions alongside ongoing balance work on existing kits. The Update 45 vote-kick system remains active. The codes tab continues to receive new strings. See the Update 46 page for details.
Update 45 — August 2026
Heisei Godzilla rework, Kiryu Absolute Zero Cannon buff (2000 to 3750 damage, 100 second cooldown), Godzilla 2000 speed and damage buffs, Showa Jet Jaguar HP increase, beam collision fix, vote-kick system added, new code in codes tab. This is the best-documented recent patch because the wiki captured the live description before it was overwritten. See the Update 45 page.
Update 38 — Final Wars Godzilla
Final Wars Godzilla introduced as the showcase kaiju. This patch anchored the mid-2026 period and established the pattern of bringing a premium Tokusatsu kit into the experience as the main addition. Final Wars remains in the A to S tier conversation in 2026, representing the premium all-rounder that balances beam and melee in one kit.
Update 37 — Showa Jet Jaguar
Showa Jet Jaguar joined the roster as a fan-designed mech with martial arts combos and flight capability. The Update 45 HP buffs (4220 to 4590) and cooldown work made Jet Jaguar significantly more viable, but the kit launched in Update 37 with a dedicated following.
Update 36 — Godzilla Aquatilis
Godzilla Aquatilis brought an aquatic toolset with abilities including Aquatic Chomp, Tsunami Twirl, Parting of the Red Sea, Piscivore Nudge, and a Signature Beam. The water-themed kit added variety to the standard Godzilla lineup.
Update 35 — Titanus Doug
Titanus Doug joined the roster, adding to the growing titan selection. Community tracking documented the addition alongside the general roster growth that characterized this period of rapid development.
Update 32 — Queen MUTO and Godzilla 2019 (G19) buffs
Queen MUTO was added as a major roster addition. G19 received significant damage buffs: maximum skill 2, 3, and 4 damage increased from 250 to 300, making it one of the most durable and punitive beam brawlers in the current meta. The buff established G19 as the honest all-rounder that creator tier videos continue to recommend.
The testing experience
SULU OPPA maintains a separate Kaiju Alpha TESTING experience where unfinished monsters and balance changes are tested before live deployment. Progress on test servers does not transfer to the live experience. Test servers are subject to frequent resets.
How to read this timeline
Every update moved the meta forward. The guides on this wiki were originally written for Update 24, which is why the builds, tier list, and PvP pages cite Update 45 explicitly when mentioning current numbers. When a guide cites a number without labeling it as official, it is community-sourced data that may have changed.
The unlock guide and the endgame page reflect the cumulative result of this timeline: weeks of Cell grinding, prerequisite kit progression, and the occasional treasure hunt for specific unlock conditions.
